Fundraiser Project

A friend's daughter is seriously ill and they are having a fundraiser for her this weekend. I made this set of 6 cards (2 of each design) and card portfolio today to donate to the silent auction.

Stamps are from {ippity} by Unity. Papers, ribbons and ink are from Stampin' Up!

Don't Fall off Your Chairs...I'm posting!

It's hard to believe, but I'm actually here posting. I made a couple cards today that I'd like to share. My cleaning lady was here this morning and since our weather was so bad I decided to go to the basement, organize my stamping space a little and make a couple cards I needed to send. I hope you enjoy them.
Supplies: Stampin' Up! cardstock, stamps (Cheep Talk) and inks; Cosmo Cricket Pixie-Licious 6 x 6 Mini Deck Paper Pad, waxed linen thread.

Finally made some cards

I've been in a slump lately. I got a new Chemo Angels assignment and needed a card to send with my introductory letter. Fortunately, my new Stampin' Up Simply Scrappin pack came just the other day, so it was easy to make a couple quick cards with the stickers and cardstock that came with it. The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp. It didn't take long to whip up these 2 cards. I love the bright colors in this Petal Party kit.

Happy Birthday Melanie

Tomorrow is my sister-in-law Melanie's birthday. She's here on vacation from California and we'll all be celebrating the birthdays tonight (Stan's birthday is Saturday). This is the card I made her. Stamp set is Stampin Up Words by Wanda, colored with Koh-I-Nor pencils/odorless mineral spirits. The background paper is from Stampin Up, called Good Morning Sunshine. Felt self-adhesive flowers were purchased from Cherylynn at Second Childhood Creations. Sentiment inside the card says "And on my birthday you must say that I look marvelous!"

Kelli Graduates from College

Tomorrow my sister's daughter, Kelli, graduates from Carroll College in Helena, Montana. I had seen this Whippersnappers image on-line and just had to have it to make her card. I used the school's colors (purple and gold). There is actually a faint blue shadow drawn around the image but the scanner didn't pick it up. Background is a quarter sheet of cardstock and the white card is folded, then cut with a Nestabilities scalloped rectangle die run through my Cuttlebug. I used gold Metallic Rub-On paste (purchased from Gina K Designs) on the scalloped edge of the card.

Valentine Vignette

I've decided to jump on the "test tube" bandwagon, although I got these a little late to make a lot of Valentine gifts. This is a variation on Mrs C's tubes. I happened to have found that darling stretchy, curly ribbon at my LSS. I was going to use it on the tubes, but the reds didn't match very good and frankly I was too lazy to go down to the basement to find matching CS and ink!
Supplies Used: Tubes - Stampin Up Curly Label punch, Stampin Up Bella Rose DP, Stampin Up Riding Hood Red CS, Stampin Up Cute & Curly (label) stamp, Martha Stewart Valentine's stamps (for sayings and on punched-out hearts), Martha Stewart border punch, Marvy Heart punch, test tubes from Impress. Card - Making Memories ready-to-glitter stickers, Stampin Up Branching Out stamp set. Ribbon from my LSS, unknown manufacturer.

Quick and Simple Thank-You

I just whipped up this card as I need to get it to my friends today. We met them for lunch on election day and they brought with them the most gorgeous homemade carrot cake (my favorite), made by their daughter who is a pastry chef. I don't know why I didn't take a picture of the cake with my cell phone but trust me, it was gorgeous and delicious! This card is to thank the three of them for remembering me on my birthday (which was 2 weeks ago but this was our first chance to get together).

Stamp is from Stampin Up Cute and Curly, base cardstock is Stampin Up Soft Sky textured CS, designer paper is from the Autum Vine collection (2008 Holiday Mini). Felt ribbon is from Stampin Up. Pearls are from K & Company.
